About the Business
Ben Cunliffe studied a diploma in Energy Efficient Building in addition to architecture and worked for 2 years with environmental engineers in London before heading the commercial sector for 2 years at ECD Architects. After working in London Ben returned to Cumbria and the Lake District in 2001 to establish Ben Cunliffe Architects. Ben's ethos was to deliver the best possible product without becoming a 'corporate firm'. Since then we've grown organically bringing on board talented young designers and technicians and today we remain a dedicated team who endeavour to make design and construction a fun, positive and exciting experience for our clients.
In order to increase control over programme quality, timescale, cost and also due to common frustrations with contractors, have undertaken Design and Build contracts in excess of £2m ourselves.
