About the Business
David Cox Architects have been working out of Preston, Lancashire since 1938. Formerly known as Wood Associates, leading architect David Cox took the firm forward and built the practice in his image. A change to the practice name followed. Our award winning work encompasses many public and private sectors of the building industry on projects ranging from £100,000 to £35 million in value. The practice is led by David Cox who leads the team on a mixture of projects both residential and commercial.
David Cox is University of Manchester, School of Architecture educated. A very experienced architect who has worked in both England and Europe where he was co-owner of a German multidisciplinary practice with 7 technical staff including structural engineers, M&E engineers and Site architects (a separate discipline in Germany). Projects included several masterplans for Berlin and Brandenburg; the conversion of a large listed factory into retail, residential and commercial use.
