About the Business
Prior to establishing JWa, Joe worked as Project Architect on a number of high-profile schemes at the multi prize-winning practice, Allford Hall Monaghan Morris architects. These include prestigious retail and office buildings on London's Regent Street, robust studio/workshop spaces in Notting Hill, and a sublime refurbishment of an iconic Grade II* listed modernist building in Paddington. Joe has also worked on school and nursery projects in at a small practice in Devon and on private residences and schools within the conservation team at Tanner Architects in Sydney, Australia.
Joe completed his degree in architecture at the University of Nottingham in 2001 before progressing to the postgraduate school at the University of Westminster. He received the highest grades; pass with distinction, in both RIBA II and III professional diplomas. Joe's diploma design project was a playful yet careful study for a new primary school in west London.
